I have one. Just want to know if anyone else likes it!

I like vintage receivers. They have an ageless "class" to them. The problem with vintage receivers is vintage/old parts. Typically they're way out of spec or sometimes just plain bad, effectively hampering the performance or worse. Getting them reconditioned is certainly a great option, if you think it's worth it. Typically people don't bother reconditioning less desirable models unless they can do it themselves which requires patience and a requisite understanding of circuits and soldering.

I really like it. I had a kenwood kr 9600 driving a pair of bose 901s. However the kenwood finally died on me so I got the pioneer. I only paid 126usd for it on ebay. If a have the balance knob centered the right channel goes off and I have to move the knob. I found a simple solution, I just keep the balance knob slightly to the right and it works perfect. Right now i'm using it with bose 141s and it sounds very nice.
