hi all,
I have a pair of xb950bt headphones and I lost the aux cord that came with them. I am looking for a replacement cord that has a mic in it (the original cable didn't have a mic, but I imagine getting a new cord with a mic should't have a problem working). However, there was this extremely annoying piece of plastic that was added on to one end of the original cable that allowed it to fit nicely into the headphone jack. I am not sure how to go about buying an aux cable that will fit into this port and have mic capabilities as I don't want to drop $50.00 to buy the original cord from SONY

I have come across people having this difficulty with this pair of headphones. One suggestion has been to use the following cord after cutting off a portion of the coating on one end to allow it to fit in the headphone jack

Of course, I would rather not walk around with that kind of mic sticking out as an inline mic would be much better and not have to deal with cutting things, but if it comes to that I guess I might try that. Other than that, I have seen other cords claim that they work for the MDRxb950bt only to see in the comments that the mic capability doesn't actually work
(ex:

Would any of the following work:

TL; DR Any suggestions for cords with mic capabilities that will work with the MDR xb950bt? A right-angle jack on one end would be highly preferred but understand if not possible.
