Any speakers suggestions?

I just recently purchased a Pioneer Elite VSX-84TXSi Receiver and I'm looking for some speaker recommendations. It's a 7.1 system. I'm preferably leaning toward satellite speakers to please the wife, but I'm flexible. Any suggestions?

Audition, audition, audition. There's too many choices out there and every person has their own idea of what a speaker should sound like. Once you've heard a few speakers and know what you want them to sound like, you can post the contenders and others can provide suggestions that may sound similar or offer better value/quality. One man's trash is another man's treasure. I've heard $8K speakers that I didn't like.

Mirage

Check out the Mirage omnisat v2. They can be wall mounted (mine are), have a great soundstage and are pleasing to the eye.

Can't really recommend anything. As Davemcc said, you have to audition. Brands I like and would suggest you look at in stores are Focal, PSB and Era for starters. But without a budget it will make it hard for people to recommend you things. Even still, it's better for you to start going to all your local stores and seeing what they have in your budget range and seeing what you like.
