I'm thinking about gettig some new front speakers. I mainly use my system for Stereo Music but i do enjoy the occasional multi-channel SACD or DVD-A and rarely ill watch a movie on it. So I need a pair of speakers that are good for a heavy music listener (Classic rock such as the Who and Zeppelin). Here is my current set-up:

Denon Avr-985S
JBL E60s -Fronts
JBL S-Center -Center
JBL S38IIs -Rears
JBL E250P- Sub
Toshiba SD-6915 -Dvd/SACD changer
Optimus Lab-1000 -Turntable

I am most likely going to lose the S38IIs and the Center to be replaced later. I'm looking to spend between $600-$900 for these. Any reccomendations would be wonderful especially if from expirience.

Floorstander upgrade

For floorstanders, check out the Axiom M60's. They should be a big upgrade from your JBLs and are in your price range.

You could move your current mains to the surrounds if you have the space, and plan on a matching Axiom center channel upgrade soon. Then maybe a sub from SVS or HSU and upgrading the surrounds.

I second that. The M60ti's are highly recommended.

I checked out some reviews of the m60tis and went to axioms site. On all the reviews they all have price marked at $800 a pair but on axioms site they are $900 a pair. Did the price increase or something? Does anyone know where to buy these for cheaper?

No, the price probably increased from the time of the review. And the only place to buy Axioms new is through Axiom.
