Any reccomendations for decent computer speakers?

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for good computer speaker systems. I don't want to spend much more than $100 but I will if something is really good and isn't much more. Thanks

If you don't need deep bass, I use M-Audio StudioPro 3 Desktop Audio Monitors. Definitely less than $100 (I got a $25 rebate when I bought mine, which made them very inexpensive). They're nice enough looking, have an auxilliary input (for an mp3 player, say), and sound vastly better than typical "multimedia" speakers. There may well be better options in the price range, but they're worth checking out.

I no longer feel the need to have 5.1 or even 2.1 speakers for the computer system and wanted just a decent inexpensive stereo pair.

I currently have the Creative Gigaworks T20 that cost $100 with a $20 rebate. I think they sound pretty good for under $100.

Previously I had the Klipsch Ultra 2.0 and they also cost right around $100. Initially I thought the highs were a bit harsh but that was easily fixed by turning the treble down slightly. I would have kept them but they developed a problem with the volume control sticking and making loud scratch/pop noises anytime you adjust the volume. That's why I bought the Gigaworks.

I was originally looking for monitors but the ones I found at the time didn't have a headphone jack or volume control on the front so I ended up with the more traditional 'computer speakers'.

I have the Logitech X230s and I found them to sound pleasant for the mere $30 price. Be careful with computer speakers, the specifications can be over emphasized greatly.

Also, the X240, it's replacement, is a POS. Get this version if you so decide.

Nice & compact but very good sound.

Those sattelites seem the same as the DTT2500. I bought mines a few years ago and they still sound better than the subsequent creative labs speaker systems.

You could also check Altec Lansing.

I use Altec Lansings and I like them well. You may want to look at Axiom's new computer speakers even though they are a little more expensive. They look like serious quality speakers for a computer. Just nice to see what options are out there.

I absolutely love my Klipsh GMX-A 2.1 system, and their other THX certified Promedia 2.1 system is great as well, I currently use it for the .mp3 player, tv, and dvd player in my bedroom.

I use one M-Audio DX4 with a busted tweeter and a bad amplifier. To change the volume without violent popping, it must be shutoff and adjusted. It's perfect.

I heard the M-Audio Studio Pro 3's breifly at a local store and I though they sounded very good.

I'm looking to redesign/build my computer desk and when I to that I'm going to get rid of my Logitech Z-640 5.1 speakers and probably get a pair of Mackie HRmk2 and maybe even an HRS120 sub to go with them (though the sub might be a little pricey).

I like Cambridge but for $100, I like the Klipsch GMX 2.1 computer speakers a little better.
