Have you tried, The Waking Dead? Its a bit of a drama though.

What about, 30 Days of Night?

Scariest move I ever watched is the "Prince of Darkness". Its a John Carpenter movie and was made in the eighties.

"30 days of night" was really cool, and "Walking Dead" is one of my favorite shows.

If you want a funny horror film, try Wedding Crashers. Pretty funny given the scary surroundings, and the end just scared the s**t out of me.

Im not crazy about horror movies, I find them to be borderline silly, although when I was a kid nightmare on elm street seemed scary, but when I watched it a few years ago, just silly...

I like the series american horror on FX, I believe you can buy series 1 and series 2 is almost over...

some that stick out to me are
Ju-on {I find Asians scary in general, especially when behind the wheel, jk :D},
Salems Lot {something about them vampires stayed with me when I was younger, my neighbor had a dog that looked like one}

speaking of dogs CUJO is worth a watch, not super scary, but its ok

REC {quarantine was the american version/remake what ever you want to call it but Rec is better}

In the mouth of madness {I always forget about this one, but it mad me jump like 3 times the first time I watched it, that has to be worth something}

and People under the stairs is also a good watch, nothing that will give you nightmares but its watchable...

good luck,

I was lucky enough to read the book "Cujo" before seeing the movie. The book totally blew the movie away. Stephen King, go figure.

Huge horror movie fan.

30 days of night was interesting, but ultimately not a great horror movie.

A movie i caught once years ago that impressed me was "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things"

Then there's "Phantasm" and the first "Hellraiser"

YMMV

The thing is good, I think if alien as scifi more than horror but I believe it is classified as horror...

I actually like the the original 1951 version of The Thing, but they did a pretty good job on the 1982 (listed) one also.

Yeah, it sort of re-started the sci-fi horror genre mostly because it works well as both.

This is another good one produced by DelToro:

No kidding. It must have been horrifying to watch strange creatures from another planet invade a hatchery, then try to kill an innocent baby, then track the adult down with all sorts of gruesome weapons.

Well, if you were an alien, that is.

:)
