Any New DIY Sub plans?

The Infinity Kappa Sticky is excellent but the sub is discontinued. Is there any other similar plans out there for 'today's' subs?

BTW, this design is pretty much what I want... 12" Ported with high quality driver and amp.

The enclosure works fine with some small tweaks for the JL Audio 12W6v2.

Similar types of enclosures can be built for the Dayton RSS315HF-4, or the CSS Trio 12. Are you familiar with WinISD? That can get you started. Those two drivers are around the same price the Kappa was selling for before it was discontinued.

From what I can gather from my readings they are also the best drivers in their price class until you spend about double and get into some great drivers made from TC Sounds or the Exodus Shiva X2.

What is your budget?

What type of tweeks? I am a huge fan of JL Audio. I currently have 3 JL W6 (first gen). But i figured the ohms would be a problem. Whould I have to run the sub at 3 ohms? Can the Dayton plate amps handle that type of load?

The TC looks really nice. I really don't have a budget per se, I am just focusing on 'value' for this sub. So the Dayton and CSS sound like a good option.
