Hello all,

Need some feedback on what would the average consumer want as far as making home connections with DVD players, TVs, Cable (or Satellite) Receivers, Home Theater Systems, etc. Just to make it simple, less frustrating where you could connect these products yourself. Any and all suggestions, options and input would greatly be appreciated, Thank you all.

Welcome to the forum, theblackscouter!

Regarding what the average consumer would want when it comes to connecting things themselves, here's my take: wireless. Either that or some way to connect the wires without having to get behind the equipment (which normally means getting behind some furniture) while still allowing the wires to be out of site.

They want an inexpensive UNIVERSAL player that plays CD/DVD/HD DVD/Blu-Ray/SACD/DVD-Audio. They want satellite or cable with HDMI output. They want a HDMI cable from the unversal player and satellite/cable to a receiver. They want a HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV. That's a total of 3 cables.
