Any Home Theater Receiver Suggestions?

Hello,

I am upgrading my old, out-dated Bose surround sound system (Acoustimass 15 with a very old Onkyo receiver). I have already chosen to purchase B&W speakers for my new 5.1 system (I would like the option of going to 7.1 in the future though). Anyway, I have been looking at many different receivers over the past few weeks and I am reading and hearing mixed reviews. If anyone can make any suggestions, I would appreciate it. My price range for a receiver is around $1500 and less (preferably less).

Receivers I have looked into:
Yamaha RX-V2400
Marantz SR7400
Denon AVR-3805
Rotel RSX-1056
Rotel RSX-1068

I have heard that the Marantz runs hot and is hard to setup and I have a Pioneer Elite DVD player so the Denon Link is not a good selling point for me. Anyway, sorry for the length of the post, but wanted to express fully the situation. If I am going to spend around $2000-$2500 for some nice speakers, I of course need a good sounding and reliable receiver to drive them.

Thanks for the help.

Forgot to add

Sorry, I forgot to add...

I am about 90% movies (DVDs) and 10% music as I know it makes a slight difference on the receiver.

Anyway, thanks again.

Try the Sony 2000ES. Digital and decodes most of the surround formats.

Seems like the Pioneer 54 and 56 sounded better to me than the Denon 3805. The Denon does more in terms of links and inputs than the 54, but the 56 has firewire and a USB, and THX, for what it's worth. It sounded just a bit cleaner to me.All are terrific
