any feedback on Velodyne Impact 12

All,

Contemplating a subwoofer purchase and I'm on a budget. I heard the Velodyne at a friends place and was impressed with it. He mentioned it to be a BPS series 12 inch but I might have heard it wrong.

Trying to get feedback on the Velodyne Impact 12 inch sub. I am considering this versus the Dayton 120. The velodyne impact 12 is listed at $269 lowest on ebay and Dayton is at $153.

I just want to know if I'll be getting a superior sub spending extra $$ on velodyne than choosing Dayton.

I have never heard the Velodyne Impact but I think it is on the bottom of their food chain. I had the Velo VMS8 in a small office room and it was really good but it is a higher quality sub than the Impact.

The velodyne would likely be better than the Dayton, but neither will be as good as some of the internet direct brands such as Epic, SVS, HSU, elemental designs, etc... Keep saving and get something really good the first time, it will save you from getting upgraditis.
