No experience with that particular model but experience with many other models. It's the old brand preference kind of thing. I've never had any problems with Onkyo and I like the way they are designed so I keep buying them.
If you have any particular questions about Onkyo receivers (other than the subjective 'Does it sound better than X brand') I can likely answer them.
