I need a sub cable,I was thinking about going with impact acoustics, well I need a 45 foot cable and the guy at impact says to use their 50 foot sonicwave video cable, because as he said rca's are all the same, is he right or should I go with a 25 and 18 foot with an rca coupler.

He is correct in that most any cable with RCA on it will work for you on the sub.:D
With this in mind, now you need to compare prices of that long of a cable be it video, audio or digital in name and I would suggest the least expensive of the batch:D

sub cable

Also, 1 long cable would be preferred over multiple short cables with couplers to reduce potential losses or connection issues.
