I have a note on an account that "Consumer disputes - reinvestigation in progress" i didn't dispute this acct and don't want to (active account I use regularly) any ideas or opinions. Should I just ignore it, contact eqifax, or the credit card company?

Get full credit report from all 3 agencies and check for irregularities and accounts you don't recognize

I would call them right away and find out what is going on. It could be simple or it could be a problem. I bring this up because I have someone out there trying to open accounts in my name for the last 3 years. Just confirmed a false credit card app last week. I have holds and alerts with all 3 credit agencies so that stops it for the most part.

Usually if your card company finds what they consider an issue, they will notify you first. You need to call them and find out what is going on. My bank doesn't mess around with it. A few suspicious transactions and they automatically cancel my card and send a new one. My credit card will send an email with suspicious transactions and ask if I know what they are before cancelling.
