Any Advice ? Receiver help

Hi everyone,

This is my first post and I finally managed to scrap together money to start putting together a decent setup. I basically am at the stage of purchasing a receiver, not sure though if I should get something with HDMI on it.

I have a Samsung 32" HD LCD (LN-S3251D). It has 2 HDMI and 1 Component inputs. I also have an xbox 360, dvr/cable box, so-so dvd player and my dual g5 mac. I only have 1 set of components and currently I have to switch back and forth between the 360 and the cable box. I know a basic receiver can solve this problem. My mac will be converted from DVI to HDMI.

What should I do? Any ideas on what to buy? Or any good ways in setting up stuff correctly??

What is your budget?
Are you looking to buy speakers as well? and when?
Normally you will be advised to pick out speakers first then to match the receiver to them as well as your other components.
