This is a very vague reference but it appears that the reviewer here preferred Anthem's ARC to all other room correction software.

Anthem MRX 500 7.1 A/V Receiver

Audioholic staff, are you ever going to plan a shootout on the different room correction algorythm?

Not my opinion in comparing results from ARC to XT32.
I haven't taken measurements, but in my room, the only thing that was really different was the bass... My room with measurements shows my speakers flat all the way to the top in the upper registers, with no room correction in place at all, so there is little for room correction to work on there, but the bass improvement was substantial IMO... ARC seemed to neuter my bass down low... and you all know what I have for power in the lower regions... Everything seems to be a good deal more coherent and sweeter sounding overall...

I sold off my D2v to get the new 80.3 and put some money back in my pocket for my sons schooling. I'm glad I did... The D2v is not worth more then double the price of the 80.3. Just my opinion of coarse, and I like the more updated features with network ability to update firmware, unlike the ANTIQUATED RS-232.... which was like jumping through hoops IMO...

I think Anthem should have considered that their acronym ARC would lead to confusion.

I donno, that website is a bit dubious.

They publish measurements for only select reviews and almost never for the spendy stuff. Anything they publish, I take with a grain of salt... except for this P5 review. I have been lusting after a P2 since first read.

Nice review on that P5. Kind of makes me feel good because he compared it to my Cinepro.
