I would buy bigger subs. Not sure the processor will make a big difference.

Marantz and Anthem fan here. Go with the one that has the features you prefer because they're both going to sound more similar than not as Jeff pointed out.

You need 1000W to get sound out of a tissue box sized sealed sub LOL.

If you've never heard those subs you'd be amazed

I owned one sunfire before though I don't recall how exactly it came into my ownership. Not saying they're not good, but they aren't going to outperform a larger sub. I don't think it was a knock against them on Jeff's part either, just that the AH gang tends to gravitate toward more sub :)

I am in an apartment currently and went from a single 54" tall vented 15" Tempest sonosub to a dual 15" sealed. The tempest would knock things off the wall three rooms away and the current one literally shakes the walls so I have to keep it turned down.

In my opinion I think most people play their bass too loud

Loud is one thing, but if it isn't clean and articulate, then it is just "boom".

I totally have the same opinion I used to have an 18 inch velodyne and this new Sunfire outperforms it.

I have heard some good sounding Sunfire subs but nothing can compare to cone size. I am just not big processor fan in general unless you significantly altering speaker setups. I.e. Atmos, 5.1 to 7.1 or 9.1

You have a great system. IMHO you need a bigger set to give you the visual impact that will equal your audio sound.

I'm thinking of getting the new sony 85inch just waiting for the new 4k oppo dvd player to come out, do it at the same time.

My dad has the Anthem D2V and I set up and calibrated it, I own a Marantz 7701 in living room and the new 7702 in my theater the 8802 is sweet but diminished returns IMHO but if I had more cash I sure would a git it lol. At any rate the Marantz imo having hundreds of hours experience with both brands is a win and so close if not damn near tied in movie performance it's a no brainer. Anthem may be better if you also focus heavily on 2 channel usage along with movies but again it's not leaps and bounds better.
