Anthem MRX520 has trouble recognizing signals over ARC

I have an MRX520 connected out of the HDMI1 (ARC) port to my Sony XBR65X900E HDMI3 (ARC) port. Whenever I turn on my TV, the reviever turns on as well because I have CEC switched on. I watch all my media on apps on this Android TV (no other devices connected). When I launch an app to watch something my home theater speakers do not work, it's all muted. So I go to the Android TV settings > speakers > switch to TV speakers and the audio comes out of the TV. Then switch back to Audio System and the home theater speakers work again.

I have to do this silly little switch back and forth every time the TV and receiver is powered on.

Anyone else experience this with their Anthem receiver?

Try it with the CEC switched OFF. That causes more problems than it solves, in many cases.

Thanks Ken,

But that would mean I would need two remotes to power them individually which sucks too. I tried it anyways and oddly enough the audio didn't play at all with CEC turned off which makes no sense to me.

When I picked up a Logitech Harmony Elite set (hub & remote) while they were on sale, everything changed for me. One remote, one press for almost everything I do. The only think it can't do is run the BlueOS to select and play music choices.
