Hi: Thinking of buying a Anthem 1140...however reading that at this time there are significant "bugs" with it?Is this true?If so what is Anthem's rep in solving them quickly?Planing to buy it soon as they are in short supply...like the feature set it has & everything I read about it's room correction in particular! So should I look elsewhere(idea's please) or go for it?Thanks for the help!!

I would wait.
Supply chain will loosen over time, but shipping is still a nightmare for most manufacturers. (I'm uncertain if these are assembled in Canada like their processor or not, but consider a lot of the component parts likely are coming from overseas.)

Yes, Their initial release Of the new gear was buggy and I have not heard anybody indicate that they have been straightened out.

Cost to performance, Anthem is also not usually top of the list. Perhaps Anthem Room Correction is better than Audyssey, but I get pretty good results using the XT32 App and wouldn't use Room Correction as a reason to go all in on a device that isn't fully baked. (Keep in mind, HDMI 2.1 upgrade is still pending for later this year if they are lucky.)

Regardless, this is a bad year to buy electronics. The HDMI thing is still very unsettled, supply is still a challenge, and most of the work on this years devices was finished under the pandemic chaos.

What are you specifically looking for in an AVR or AVP? What do you need in terms of features?

My experience using the MRX-740 has been bug free after an initial software and firmware upgrades in February. Since then I have had no problems.

It would be interesting to know what configuration you are using.

How is the power output for what you are using?
Thanks
