Cannot find too much info on this player. It plays Cds and dvds with no issues but Ejects when I put in a bluray disk. Anyone have any heads up what might cause this?

Some players are fussy about their diet. If you are talking about brand new blu-rays then the unit is defective. If you are talking about rentals, then it is just too fussy for that application. I went through this with a Panasonic BD player. I switched to Samsung and haven't had a problem since.

First I would clean the laser lens. If that does not work then see if there is a firmware update for the player, and load it.

If that does not work then the player needs service or replacement. Most likely if the above does not help, then the disc drive is bad and will have to be replaced or the player recycled.

The BD uses a different laser to the DVDs.

The problem is that service will likely cost close or as much as a new player.

I just replaced a drive in a Panny and only saved $30 over a new one, and I did it myself. A repair shop would have cost more than new.

If you want to replace the drive yourself, you will have to have a service manual to get the fault codes and the codes to initialize the new drive.

I'd try what TLS said, cleaning and firmware, but if the blue laser is dead, replacement is the only option and that's sort of sounding more likely.
