I know there are a ton of these right now and people are probably getting tired of answering them, but I just wanted to get some recommendations based on what I was looking for specifically. I have and old yamaha that was bought back in the late 90s along with some klh speakers and sub that were bought at the same time (don't know models for either sorry). Either way, they sound decent to me, but I'm ready to step it up a notch. I have a brand new samsung 1080p I just got along with a ps3 that I use to play games and watch movies on. I'm planning on upgrading both the speakers and the reciever at some point, but I think the reciever is going to come first. I definately want hdmi input/output and upscaling so I can just run one hdmi to the tv. I think I want upscaling to 1080p or something like that but that kinda depends on cost I guess. I watch mostly comcast hd and movies throught the ps3 with some music (probably 25%). I'm not looking to spend more than around 1000 if its possible to get what I want for that, and obviously I don't want to spend more than I have to. Thanks for your suggestions.
