"N.H. Teen Who Zapped Nipples During Shop Class Sues Teacher and School District

DOVER, N.H. -- A New Hampshire high school student shocked so severely in shop class that his heart stopped beating is suing his teacher, the school district and the city of Dover.

Kyle Dubois and his parents claim teacher Thomas Kelley did not warn Dubois and other students of the dangers of the electrical demonstration cords in their electrical trades class.

On March 11, Dubois attached an electrical clamp to one nipple while another student attached another clamp to the other. A third student plugged in the cord.

Dubois was critically injured.

The New Hampshire Union Leader says Dubois' suit contends he suffered permanent brain damage.

Kelley resigned from his teaching position about a month after the incident. He declined to comment on the lawsuit."

And these goobers were in an electrical trades class? Who was Moe, Larry and Curly? Too bad they can't teach common sense in school.

Not much more to the article but here it is in it's entirety. I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it in black and white myself.

The comments are funny, though.

Makes me think about High School again.

I remember being the only one horrified when some retards were defeating the safety mechanism on the pneumatic nail gun and firing it at people in shop. I won't even go into welding stories.

Though, I have to say all the unsafe shop memories I have they ALL could of been avoided if the teacher was in the actual shop and not off in some office or on the other side of the school.

I'm not trying to downplay the stupidity of these people but I do believe morons shouldn't be allowed near dangerous equipment unattended.

Who's Fault ?

I am not posting this in defense of the kid in any way shape or form, however the onus will be on the shop teacher to prove that he keeps and runs a safe shop, obviously he didn't. I think in high school kids can be any where from 13/14 y.o. to 17/18 y.o. so lets say that was one of our 13 y.o. kids that we sent to high school for the very first time expecting that he will be well supervised and return home safely at the end of the day, I think we would all be pretty pissed off, I know I would be. Kids do the stupidest things sometimes and we can't always protect them , but at school, in a shop environment I would expect just a little more.Dumb Kid for what he did, yes no doubt, even more so though would be the teacher for his complete failure. Just my 2 cents worth.

Some more info...

Apparantly, Bozo wanted to be a Youtube celebrity and had a buddy record his stupidity for posterity.

Here's a link to a page that contains a link to the video he wanted to post on Youtube. Also, there's a hyperlink in the first paragraph that gives a bit more detail.

Apparantly, they were not new to the class and knew what they were doing, somewhat.

Gee, I wonder if the little girlies in Home Economics (do they still teach that even?) go sticking their hands in the fire on the stoves and say they didn't know it's hot?

Like we all haven't zapped our nipples at least once in our lives... Now just because of a little heart stoppage, this one stupid kid is ruining the fun of all the other kids. He's alive right? So what's the problem? Who else can brag about stopping his own heart with a nipple zap? If anything, loss of mental faculties will only result in other hilarious $h1t... Everyone's a winner here!

How Incredibly stupid is this Kid?This pathetic cretin Kid deserves what he got

How Incredibly stupid is this Kid?? In this day and age, how can you not know that electrical wires and metal clamps equals "Bad news"? The really scary thing is that with a good lawyer, he might win his case; which shows how incredibly ****ED UP the legal system is, to allow such nonsense to proceed.

This pathetic and moronic Kid deserves what he got and the school should counter-sue him for involving them in the totally blatant stupidity and greed of both him and his parents.

Too bad he didn't go south with the clamps and save the world from his offspring.

The thing that kept me from doing crazy stuff as a kid, was the fear of the beating my father would give me when I got home.
Oh yes, the good old days.:D

Don't you kind of wonder if that kid had also attended some sex education class at the Dover HS where they discussed alternate types of sexual exploration?
