I think it's cool that so many companies put out very different looking cars, but that is not the prettiest girl at the dance...

It is mostly carbon fiber, so I think survivability is actually pretty good, unless you get hit by something tall. It is probably safer than the typical car in an accident. It is basically very similar in construction to an F1 car.

I wonder about what is actually under that carbon fiber. When I first saw pictures of this a week or two ago I kind of figured it was an overgrown Ariel Atom with skin, at least in concept. Obviously it's way more expensive, way more powerful, snazzier, heavier and a lot more expensive.

Yeah, this is nothing like the Atom. The Atom is simple and totally basic. The numbers aren't actually as good as I would have expected from a twin turbo v12 for something that looks so small. In the pics with the guy standing there though, you can see that this car isn't that small.

On a side note, have you guys seen the all electric converted Atom? The Wrightspeed X1? GREEN DROOL.

While it's obviously not an Atom what I mean is that the chassis might be a rather similar concept.

I would never want to drive a car like that. I love my 69 Chevy truck, its still wins every race i have been in.

Don't know what kind of racing you do in your 69 Chevy truck, but I do know it's pretty likely not going to be much good for some of the racing I would love to do.

I have had it going around 200km/h on the high way. its fast and could probably do more, i have put lots of money into that truck. I had a old beat up 1975 Chevy when i was 16, those trucks can take a beating, at work a front end loader backed into it and it looked fine, i look it off roading and hit some stuff and no damage, those things are built like tanks thats why i love them. I plan on buying a ford 350 next winter and turning my 69 into a hot rod for summer use. But i love those old trucks way more then any of these expensive cars.

I am more of the road course / auto-x kind of guy, so a truck isn't the quickest way around the track. It needs to be light and handle well. Tossable is what is fun to me. That is not to say that I don't enjoy trucks either, but they are a different animal and are fun for different reasons.

Ditto, but i'd love to go offroading in a truck!

that makes since but i love trucks. i work on the rigs so just to get to the job site requires off road driving, so super cars dont do anything for me. I drove a corvette a while back and it was awesome having the power from the second you put your foot down but my truck goes fast. going 4x4 in the mud and in the back country is so much fun, even more then going fast. both types have their advantage i just prefer a good truck

Offroad is definitely fun :) My dad has always had some nice trucks too. We have a big truck to haul the trailer and it is fun to drive as well, but not exactly the car we choose for a weekend drive.

That's a crazy looking car. Almost Batman's.
But it seems like it could be something that Albert would design. Bruce Wayne would not be pleased with the looks on that thing.

I think the main reason i like trucks over cars is because you can take a truck anywhere. when your driving though the city you dont have to worry about bumps that could damage your car. I like trucks because they can go over almost anything
