not bad .....not as slow paced as the original.

It's on the DVR, will give it go sometime. Least it sounds watchable, you never know. Some times we get suckered into some "interesting" sounding SciFi channel movies. Usually good for a laugh or two.

Over all I thought it was pretty good. The ending was lame.

I though it was OK. Good at the beginning, but way too slow in the middle, as if they were trying to stretch it.... Performances were good from some of them, but overall I'd say I expected a lot more from the Scotts than a typical made for TV movie.

I thought it was OK (but just OK) until the last part when it was plain that they had a half hour to kill. Then they concocted that device where the lab was going to blow up killing the main characters unless somebody runs through a bunch of gauntlets, climbing a greasy pole and hanging by fingernails while gadgets smoke, gongs ring, a mechanical female voice chants "1...minute until self destruct...". This device, used in countless bad SciFi movies needs one character to die in self sacrifice and another who cuts the blue wire after almost cutting the red wire 3 seconds before self destruct. That really spoiled it for me.

At least it was Ricky Schroeder they killed, since his was clearly the least useful and believable character in the whole show :D They completely telegraphed that entire ending anyway, as soon as they said "Only HE can shut this thing off..." The whole thing was just far too plain.

Poor Ricky...off to a good start as a kid actor, not as cute as he once was...roles harder to come by...becomes the dead guy in a bad Sci Fi movie.

I vaguely remember the original. I liked it as a kid, but then I liked almost anything with a science fiction element. My favorite scene was the "shower" that burned off a layer of skin.
