Since I pretty much look at engadget daily, here are details on the updated Epsons.

They are claiming some ridiculous (and misleading) contrast ratios of 130000:1 for the 8500 UB (the 6500 UB's replacement, Home line), and 200000:1 for the 9500 UB (the 7500 UB's replacement, Pro line). They also claim to have improved the FI system, which I personally don't care much about because I don't like FI. Anyhoo, it should be interesting to see more details emerge as next week progresses.
Looking at the reported CR, they are also now getting some difference between the Pro and the Home lines, it would seem. In previous years they were the same PJ but the Pro version was black, had an extra bulb and an extra year of warranty, and cost a bit more. You also can't buy the Pro versions online. Maybe they are finally realizing there is no reason to buy the Pro version unless there are differences in the product, especially because they usually have rebates for an extra bulb with the Home version anyway...
