You beat me to it.

It's a shame that the music makers of our generation is passing right before our eyes, and at relatively young ages.

Oh my...

January has just started and we've lost 3 shooting stars in a row... WTH!!

Sorry to tell you guys that from now on, Hotel California will be forever closed, though.

RIP Glen :(

Wow, being in your late 60s is a tough age to be. I recently turned 67, so I'm watching these events kind of closely . After David Bowie died, and his family revealed very little of the cause of death, I found myself worrying what got him, and, should I be worried.

David Bowie - died at 69 years, 1½ years after getting diagnosed with what is said to be liver cancer (wikipedia).

Alan Rickman - died of pancreatic cancer also at age 69. He was diagnosed only last August.

Glen Frey - died at 67 after a long history of rheumatoid arthritis and acute ulcerative colitis. Both RA and colitis are auto-immune diseases, probably related to each other. Frey apparently had severe cases of these for quite a few years.

I can't say I was a big fan of any of them, but I've known about them for a long time. And it's impossible to ignore their ages.

Natalie Cole… thanks for pointing her out.

She was 65, a veritable youngster. It was truly sad to read about her troubled health. Heroin & cocaine addiction, Hepatitis C (probably due to injected drugs), kidney failure, dialysis, kidney transplant, and finally congestive heart failure (due to kidney failure/dialysis).

Sorry to be such a downer folks.

Gotta cheer for those old rockers who still thrive & survive, like Keith Richards (age 72) and the rest of the Stones :).

YES! Take the Kardashians and let us keep our classic rockers. Or take Bieber... we can go on without him.

Was talking about this at lunch, but it's only going to continue. 60's, 70's, and early 80's produced some great rock music. But those musicians are getting up there in years now. A lot of legends are going to pass over the next few years. Except Keith Richards. I think Keith took so many drugs that he's not technically alive anymore...just keeps going on residue left in his body...

One more, and another original member of Jefferson Airplane :( Oddly, on the same day as Paul.

NEW YORK (AP) — Signe Toly Anderson, a vocalist and original member of the Jefferson Airplane who left the band after its first record and was replaced by Grace Slick, has died.

Anderson died Thursday at her home in Beaverton, Oregon, according to her daughter, Onateska Ladybug Sherwood. Anderson was 74 and had been suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Anderson, who survived cancer in her 30s, died on the same day that another Airplane member, Paul Kantner, died.

Wow. 2016 is off to a heluva start.

Not many people know Signe. She was only with them for their first album.
