Analog vs Digital inputs

Question if your dvd player has better dac's than your processor would it be better to just use the dac's of the dvd player for multi channel music and movies through the analog outputs of the player??? Also as a side note the analog signal can go through the processor unprocessed via pure direct mode i tried it with 2 channel music and its a large improvement but dont know if it will work for multi channel and would like to know before i bought more cables.

If you connect up via all possible connection types then you have the choice of listening with whatever sounds best to you

Please do a search, this is covered about once a month.

Even if the DACs are better in the player, the receiver most likely has better bass management.
