Has anyone out there compared a MCINTOSH MC-275 to a PRIMALUNA DIALOGUE PREMIUM HP?

But the Primaluna amps I've had the chance to look under the skirt of were quite attractive (all point to point wiring with exquisite layout and attention to detail). With tranny coupled tubes, the chocolateyness and whatnot depends largely on the speakers involved. Think of the speakers and amp as one living, breathing whole entity. Since chocolateyness typically equates to bad amp behavior in my experience, I suspect that the McIntosh is a bit less chocolatey than the Primaluna, but that's just a wild guess.
