Hi,

I bought Bose Lifestyle 525 Series III and now I want to replace it with Onkyo TX-NR AV Receiver which I assume will give more deep Bass effect system.

Onkyo TX-NR1030 or 3030

I have a query and hope you can suggest me. I am going to buy Tx-Nr3030 or 1030 but I am confused about the speakers!
Where I live I have only few options with Speakers. I can buy ONLY the C809 JAMO front speakers, C80 center and C80 surround, two DOLBY ATMOS SPEAKERS and C360 Sub Woofer or BOSE Acoustimass 10/15 home theater 5.1 or any combinations of these three brands only.

Which one do you suggest for me? Do you think Bose works good with this system plus two Sub Woofers (1 Bose + 1 JAMO)?

My room is 3 meter wide and 5 meter long. I really don't want loud sound but I want extreme deep Bass effect even in low sounds. I do not have any idea which specific model to choose but Sales guy suggested me option

Option 1: Bose Acoustimass 10 or 15 sorround speakers plus pair of Onkyo Dolby Atmos speakers plus one Sub woofer of Jamo S360.

Option 2: Jamo C809 speakers (front), C80 speakers (surround), C80 center speaker + sub woofer C360 + 2 Onkyo Dolby Atmos speakers.

Please suggest. Many thanks.

Many thanks.
Sam

You left out "None of the Above" A lot of us aren't too sold on Onkyo so don't expect too many responses.

Not sure why are limited to only these brands, but within each brand there good and bad choices with exception of Bose - any bose equipment is a terrible choice.
If you stuck with only onkyo, 1030 would be my choice. 3030 is going too far - not worth it. You should spend 70 to 80 percent of budget on speakers

You need to look at the equipment that will be connected, the display's resolution, the listening levels/room size/speaker capabilities and then, look at the receiver's features to see which will work best. Then, think about what you might need in the future. The easy answer- pick one of the upper models and you won't have a problem doing what you want because they offer more inputs/outputs, control over audio and video signals and higher power.

I would pick the Jamo over the Bose- I have never been a Bose fan but I have a lot of experience with Jamo.

I would deal with Atmos later- make the system do what you want before mixing another brand of speaker for the spatial effects- ideally, all of the speakers will have similar/same "voice" and I don't know how well the Onkyo Atmos speakers will mix with the others.

Skip atmos speakers and you don't have to match the sub to other speakers. IE: You could just get any sub: C360 is a ported 10" sub with 360W (RMS ???) amp. It's equivalent is easy -

If you're paying much more for than that Jamo 360 sub you're likely to be wasting your money.

Sorry I got confused now, do you recommend Jamo C360 Sub? (It is 400 USD)
C809 front speakers(1,200 USD), C80 surround 400 USD) and C80 center (350 USD) with Onkyo 1030 (1,500 USD) / Onkyo 3030 (1,700 USD)? Just Fyi. I'm not a classy lover, I listen 10% of music: jazz, rock, dance, 50% I watch movies and 40% TV, as I'm not too old for classy music :)
On this basis can you please let me know quite clearly if I can go with these specific speaker models? Thanks.

Wrong. No amp, AVR, pre-pro, or preamp can give you more deep bass effect unless your speakers and/or subwoofers are capable.

If you can audition them first at your local stores/dealers and you like them, then I think they are a good idea.

They look really pretty. But I've not heard them. And speakers can be very subjective.

My RBH speakers have ScanSpeak Silk Dome Tweeters and I really love them. The Sonus Faber speakers also have Silk Dome Tweeters and a lot people also love them. So perhaps the silk dome tweeters in the Jamo will also sound great to you.

I checked Jamo D 600 THX certified speakers and I can say it is mind blowing and earth shaking.
Guys, thank you all for putting the time here and I am glad for that. I really appreciate all your efforts you have put until now in this forum.
