 I would like to propose a question for those who may be even marginally curious. I recently, purely by accident, noticed a striking resemblance between two amplifiers built by different companies. One is manufactured by Outlaw Audio, who is very proud of its product exclusivity and proprietary engineering. The other is produced by NHT. The amps in question are the Outlaw 2200 and the NHT A1. They are both 200 watt monoblocks with essentially the same proportions. While the faceplates are noticeably different, if you take a look at the rear images they are nearly identical. The sole difference is, of course, the silkscreening and then 12volt trigger input and output. The Outlaw uses plugs, while the NHT uses a barrier strip. Am I just suffering from some paranoid delusion, or is anyone else seeing this as well? Just curious, this isn't intended as product bashing in either case. I'm a big fan of both companies. Thanks, good will and happy hi-def to all.

Same amp, made by the same manufacturer for NHT & Outlaw, just different faceplates.

The same has been noted for some other amps, in particular a couple of multi-channel amps of Outlaw and ATI.

Fairly often, third party manufacturers assemble and produce amplifiers that, for the most part, are almost identical in form factor and packaging. However, companies such as Outlaw and ATI have these manufacturers build their amps with differing design and technical specifications which will make each amp very similar, but unique onto its own... -TD

.....so, did anyone envision these two "different" amps being used in a blind test?....(chortle, chortle).....
