I've setup my home theater which includes a Yamaha 5440 receiver and B&W speakers which are all 8 ohm impedence - not that I know what that really means.

Whenever I turn up the volume beyond a certain point...Amp shuts down...and when I turn it back on...it gives me the error message " Check Spkr Wires" in the display.

Any ideas? Thoughts?

I put in the best in-wall Monster cable for all the speakers and don't see any obvious issues.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Check your drivers on the B&W speakers, especialy the tweeters. A blown tweeeter can shut down the amps at high volumes. The tweeter on my center speaker was blown and my amp would regularly shut down at high volumes due to this.
