Amp / Receiver help

I picked up a pair of Canton LE 109's at an estate sale recently. What kind of power do I need to get everything I can out of them. I have a small Denon DRA 395 and I'm OK with looking at high end Denon amp to add if that would do the trick (new or vintage). Please advise...
In addition I have a pair of Sansui SP 3005's. Would combining the highs and clarity of the Cantons blend well with the lows of the Sansui's? If I'm way off
please let me know. Thanks for any and all advice.

The LE-109s have a sensitivity of 89dB so they don't require high power to drive them. The DRA395 is not high power but in a normal room it should drive the LE109s fine @ reasonable volume levels.
Wow.. :)
Those SP3005 are vintage, typical loudspeakers brought back from the Orient during the 70s.. They are very efficient, not much power to drive.. But likely too boomy with the 15" woofer..
Audio-wise I would venture to say the Cantons will deliver a more balanced, sound.
Try each and decide..

Just my $0.02... ;)

I'd also think your receiver will be fine except perhaps at high volume levels. Speakers seem to have a rating of 4-8 ohms and the receiver also has such a rating for 4 ohm as long as you only use A terminals rather than A+B (where they advise only 8 ohm loads) so I wouldn't run both pairs of speakers at the same time as you're thinking. I'd at least try the receiver first with one pair of speakers (or simply alternate between A+B in your tests rather than simultaneously). Hard to know what you mean get everything you can get out of them....amp needs are partly based on how far away from your speakers you are and what spl levels.

Thanks M and HD. I have tried the DRA 395 and especially at high volumes it seems like they need more power. I don't know that, I'm just guessing. My receiver is on my desk where I work and my speakers are about 15 ft. away in opposite directions. I have tested them separately and I've had the Sansui's since the 70's and they are great at low or high levels. Plenty of nice sound. I will not use the 2 brands together based on your comments. I just though the Canton's would be more than they are and I'm wondering if more power would help. If so any suggestions on what I might consider. I'd like them to perform at peak performance at a high volume. Thanks again for any and all input.

Why do you think it's power particularly?

Your Denon has pre-outs so if you really want to see what extra power might do I'd suggest a Crown XLS-1502 for a reasonably priced power amp to see if the extra power is what is missing or if the speakers simply lack capability....

More power is always a good option..
As U raise the volume level the demands for power output increase significantly...
I would suggest that U download an SPL app for ur phone and check how loud U are playing..
As I posted previously the SP3005s are more efficient than the LE109s so they take less power to reach a reasonable volume level...
