Amp reccomendations for Polk Audio LSi9's?

For some reason, doing a search in the forums and of the site for "LSi9" came up empty. I find it hard to believe these speakers were never mentioned in any discussion...?

I'm looking at the Bryston 3BSST for these speakers. The LSi9's are 4 ohm nominal speakers, and Polk Audio reccomends 150W peak power. The Byrston 3BSST delivers 250W x 2 @ 4 ohm.

Considering the amp is significantly more powerful than the "rated" power capacity of the speakers, would this create a potential for the speakers (namely voice coil) to be burn up? Would I need to adjust the signal to the amp accordingly (to get a more gradual increase in volume rather than a sharp one consider the power of the amp) ?

Would anyone else reccomend an amp that is significantly better than the Bryston 3BSST for these speakers, that is also within the price range of the Bryston?

Actually I just noticed Bryston is selling a new 2B SST amp, that delivers 180W x 2 @ 4 ohm. Is 180W ideal or should I aim for higher? Again, these speakers are rated at 150W peak.

Would a 250W stereo amp allow me to get better sound and amplification (namely loudness) than a 150W stereo amp, if the speakers are rated at 150W peak? I want the amp to be delivering the most power the speakers can handle, while operating at nominal levels.

Amp for LSi 9's

I have a pair of LSi 15's (same driver complement but adds a 8"woofer) and they will take a lot of power. The bryston amp will be just fine for your 9's
