Amp (RCA plug) -> 2 Wire Speaker Cable -> Sub (RCA plug)

I just finished pulling 12 gauge, 2 wire speaker cable throughout my entire house. All cables were a home run from a central closet to each speaker location. In my rush to finish the job (and lack of research), I didn't realize that I should have run a shielded RG6 (or something else than speaker wire) between the amp and my sub location.

My wires are now buried under spray foam insulation and sheetrock so there's no way to repull wire.

If my A/V receiver has an RCA plug sub out and my sub has a RCA plug in, can I purchase an adapter or splice an RCA plug on each end? What options do I have?

Something like this is probably what you need:

http://www.amazon.com/IEC-Speaker-Wire-Pair-Males/dp/B003U46G8I/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1448927188&sr=8-3&keywords=rca+jack+to+speaker+wire

That said, if you are able to RCA the ends of the in-wall speaker wire, you will likely get some hum in the subwoofer, as the speaker wire is not shielded. If you do, there is probably no fix. You’ll have to cut up whatever sheetrock is necessary to get a shielded wire in place.

You can use the adapter, but you may get interference and or hum as mentioned, especially if the run is long. Happened to a friend of mine when he let the contractor pull his wires instead of me and they also pulled speaker wire instead of RG6.
