On starting a Sub diy project, first one.
The project is centered around the Rythmik 15" servo driver.
The amp 2 amps are:
The 500w Bash deg. amp from PE.
or the A370se 350w amp from Rythmik Audio.

The Rythmik amp is only 350w, I not sure if that enough power.
Its spec:
"Class A/B operation for low distortion. 250W RMS @ 4ohm <0.1%THD, 150W RMS @ 8ohm<0.1% THD. "

Should I look for a class D amp with more watts?
Room size is 24x24x8

The main benefit of the Rythmik subs seems to be their Direct Servo system:
"A very thin sensing coil is attached to the voice coil. As the cone moves, a signal is generated. This signal is used to accurately track the movement of the cone. Effectively the sensing coil is a specialized microphone which measures the precise output of the driver.

The correction signal is fed back into the summing points of the amplifier. It is compared to the original signal and corrections are made without the use of any active circuits."
If you dont' use Rythmik's servo amp, you loose this feature. I haven't heard one of these subs, but I think the presence of the servo feedback correction system is more important than the rather small difference in power between these two amps.

If you really want the Rythmik driver, I would also get the servo amp. Do you plan on building the 3 ft³ sealed cabinet for the 15" driver?

If you don't ever plan on using the servo correction system, spend less money on a different driver and amp.

Yeah. If you're buying the Rythmik sub, why aren't you buying the amp that is designed to work with it? It's kind of pointless to separate the two.

re:

I agree, i wasn't aware of this feature, but it sound very good.
I was only worried about power output and the differnce between
the classes.
The sub size is from the 15" driver sealed box on their web site:
w=1'-6"
d=1'-10 1/2"
h=2'-0 3/4"
Hopefully I'm reading the dim. correctly.
If there is a problem let me know, I'm still drawing the layout up.
Thanks
