Amp not powering on?

Hello, I am having issues installing subwoofers for one of my friends. I successfully installed subs into my own car a few months ago, but I've hit a wall during this installation; the amplifier is not powering up even though everything is connected.
* *
Specifics:
The power wire connecting from the car battery(+) to the battery 'spot' on the amplifier is secure.
The remote wire(REM/accessory) connecting from behind the stereo (blue/white wire) leads to the REM 'spot' on the amp.
The ground wire connecting from the amplifier to a grounded location is secure as well.
The audio-out plug-ins connect from behind the aftermarket stereo to the amp.
(I have not yet wired the amp to the speakers because it is unnecessary due to the amp being unable to power up)

I have tested the voltage from the end of the battery wire on the amp (+) with the grounded 'spot' behind the amp, and the flow is a constant 12V. This tells me that the battery wire is not at fault, nor the ground wire. When the car is turned on (or merely the keys turned to 'accessory'), the amp should be getting the signal from the remote wire to power up, which is not happening.

* *
The only thing I can think of is that the remote-wire is not sending the signal to fire up the amp, but I have re-stripped and reconnected the blue/white wire to the REM wire multiple times.

Am I missing anything here? Is the amp just blown?
Also, the truck is a 2001 Nissan Frontier if that makes any difference. (But I am almost positive after looking at wiring diagrams that the blue/white wire is the correct wire for the REM)

Thank you for your time, and any help is greatly appreciated!

This is not a car forum.

How ever use your meter to check as to whether you have the correct trigger/control voltage. If you do the map is blown, if not then you need to find the problem with the trigger.
