I've read so much that I have confused myself on something simple.

What type of cable is used between the receiver's preout and an amp's input? Is this the same type of cable that I would use for my sub?

When I look at Impact Accoustics or BlueJeansCable, I can't find a listing that is specific for connecting a preout to an amp. Links to an example would be great.

Thanks,
DTruth

don't overanalyze this.

Yep, it's the same trpe of interconnect you would use for a subwoofer interconnect, only shorter. Likewise, it's the same as you would use between a CD player and a preamp/receiver. ...or to and from a tape deck or equalizer. ...or from a tuner to a preamp. ..or from your TV's ausio outputs to your receiver.

getting the picture? ;)

basically, any well constructed, adequately shielded coaxial cable will wotk fine. ..and they don't have to cost a fortune.

It depends on the pre/pro and amp. More expensive models may have XLR balanced connections.

Thanks guys.

That's what I thought, but I had read some misinformation indicating that sub cables were different from regular interconnects.

Just in case, I'm using an HK 635 and plan on getting Outlaw Audio 200 MBlocks. From what I can tell, regular RCA interconnects will work.
