Amp for Swan Diva 5.1

I finally committed myself to a pair of 5.1 which I pick up tomorrow . My next dilema is which amp to go for (I know I'm opening up a whole new can of worms here) I was going to go for a Mark & Daniel A400 ($1600 demo model) but hear it has stability issues. The only other amp I've heard so far is the Cambridge Audio 840A. My budget is around $1000. What would you suggest?

No need to spend so much for the 5.1's IMO. I used them awhile back with an Emotiva LPA-1 and the results were great.
