Amp for 6 Ohm speakers

I just ordered a set of Pioneer SP-PK21BS Speakers. Per Pioneer's site, they are listed at 6 Ohms. I am currently in the market for an Amp to power them (i don't have one now). I have two main questions, first will the AVR's listed below be fine with the 6 ohms speakers that I got, and second, do they have enough power for these speakers.

There are three AVR's that I am considering are the following:

Pioneer VSX-1121
Pioneer VSX-1021-K
Denon AVR-1912

When I look at the specs for for the 1021 and the 1912, they seem to say that they are both 8ohms and 6ohms and the 1121 is 8 ohms. Will any of these be a good match for these speakers? Or should I eliminate the 1121 because it is not the same Ohms? Just want to make sure that I don't make a mistake here....

I ran an old Denon AVR-1707 with all 5 RBH WM-30 speakers (6 Ohm) in a large room frequently nearing the amps limits with no problems. Any of those AVR's will serve you well. Choose based upon your needs and features, not on the subjective reviews of people here.

Denon is the best! :)

6 Ohm speakers shouldn't present a problem for most receivers as long as they aren't the lowest model from a given manufacturer typically.

The Denon is a much better receiver for the Audyssey function alone and the fact that it EQ's the sub.

The Pioneer speakers you purchased are a little inefficient with an 86db sensitivity but the impedance does not drop below 6 ohms so just about any decent receiver will drive them as the load is not difficult.

I demoed a DENON 4311 versus my Pioneer SC-05. During the A/B testing, I did not hear a huge difference. The difference I did hear was that the DENON did seem to make my speakers sound a touch more hollow and tinny.

The Audyssey did a fine job, but again I have spent a lot of time setting up / tweaking my speakers so the difference over the MCACC was not noticeable.

The sub EQ was not really of great value. I found my JL sub already did a superior job.

The receivers sounded more similar than different. I returned the DENON 4311 feeling the SC-05 was better for my needs.

A load of 6 Ohms should not be a problem for those receivers, as mentioned above. You'll run into issues with lower quality amps when you're getting down to about 2 Ohms. Good luck with your choice.
