with the Denon 6300 if I am only using it for surround sound no heos or multi-room speakers shouldn't I just assign all 11 amps to surround sound speakers and no other zones ?

Without knowing your setup, why would you "assign" additional amps to existing speskers?

I doubt it would make a difference. Try and see.

The 6300 has 11 channels and amps inside.
It has 3 zone option, (assign 2 to zone 2, 2 to zone 3, and a few other options)
I know it will still let you assign zone 2 or 3 for heights and sb,s etc,,,,, but it also has option to "11amp surround no zones"....
Just wanted some clarification that assigning all 11 amps to surround and having no "zones" wont hurt anything..

I'd think it would only matter if you want to use the zones with the onboard amps....I just don't think it will have any audible effect if the current settings work for your purposes.
