I am sure that you are getting a good deal but the receiver, amp, and Denon bluray player are a little over the top.

There is no reason to buy a flagship receiver if you want to add an amp. You might consider a Denon or Yamaha in the $500 range as pre-pro with an Emotiva XPA-5 amp. The Emotiva amp will deliver twice as much power to your speakers for $800. The Amp you linked should deliver similar power to the Denon 3808 receiver.

Also, I wouldn't invest a lot of money into the BluRay format which is still in flux. The PS3 is the only player I am aware of with plans to meet the 2.0 profile. The BluRay player is a digital transport so it shouldn't require $2k to read a disk and output over HDMI.

I am relatively set on taking the gamble with the Blu-Ray format (and that being said, I don't want to pass up the deal on the Denon blu-ray player) But after extensive research into the Primare amplifier I am having second thoughts. I am still going with the Denon 3808 as my pre-pro (I have plans for multi-room audio for which I can use this to power, as well as use it for a Pre-Pro for my main room). I don't want to say I need 4-1 hdmi, but I really want to run all 4 of my devices on HDMI. But back to the amp, I have been hearing a lot about the excessive heat given off by the primare.

Sooooooo

Same speakers, same AVR as my Pre-Pro, And replace the Primare with an XPA-5.

Thoughts?

Now the primare being rated 5-200wpc at 4 ohms, I thought it would run those Viennas nicely. On the other hand there is the Emotiva... at a supple 350wpc at 4 ohms for about Half of what I get the primare for.

Now I'm still relatively new (a year or so) to Audiophile grade Audio... So I need some advice. At what point does ample headroom become overkill? And Emotiva only lists their 8ohm ratings as "All Channells Driven" Is it safe to assume the same for their 4ohm ratings?

Any advice is greatly appreciated and I thank you all in advance!
