What is the better Blu Ray. I trust everbody's opinion here. I was thinking about the Onkyo because it would interface with my Integra better. But a review I read did not fare it too well. But it was only one blog I read it in.

Samsung, Pioneer and Panasonic always seem like good choices. I usually like fully loaded features that I dont mind paying a little extra for.

Also consider PS3

Oppo BDP-83

I love mine and it has universally great reviews.

Oppo BDP-83 Very Good Choice, but don't discount the PS3. PS3 is one of the fastest BD players because of brute software CPU speed and to boot you get a very good game system ;)

Good luck!

That's Right !!!! I forgot about Oppo. Where can I find one. I have only noticed them for online sales.
As far as I know Oppo is only available online. MusicDirect and Amazon are their resellers.

For a much more affordable player than the Oppo I second the BDP-60K recommendation. Don't own it, but it would be the one I'd purchase if I didn't use a HTPC.

I believe it's only $130 right now from a few places, quite a good deal!

I have a PS3 (had) and the Oppo. The Oppo is a faster player than the PS3, but not by much, but DVD upscaling is better on the Oppo. I don't use my PS3 for movies at all anymore.

You can order the Oppo from the AH store.

I'm looking into the PS3 myself. If you are looking for other formats such as SACD or DVD-A note that Sony took a lot of format support out of the PS3 Slim in order to lower the price. If that type of stuff is important to you look at the Oppo or consider the PS3 Fat.

The PS3 hasn't done SACD since the first 40G and there are no Sony products that play DVD-A period.
