You beat me to it. I was briefly into them after I first saw Woodstock and bought a live album of theirs. It's not too good but he is amazingly fast. He is one of a very few guitarists who can play 1/32 notes and maintain control. I'm sure there is a youtube of his famous song from Woodstock but I'm blocked from it at work. Look for "I'm Going Home" by Ten Years After. The band name came from the 10th anniversary of Buddy Holly's death.
They did have a great line from their one US hit: "I'd love to change the world, but I don't know what to do...so I'll leave it all up to you..."
