Alternative for old home theatre

Hello everyone,

I am no expert with sound systems and audio, and I need some advice. I've had a HTS6510 for a decade now, and it's life has come to an end. I am now looking for a good alternative. It would have to be either 2.1 again or maybe a soundbar (if they're worth it) due to the space I have in the room. I do like a good bass, so that is definitely something I need to keep. The budget would be £300 (around $400 if that helps). I use it for everything really, so movies, music and gaming.

If there's any ideas you guys have, I'd appreciate it.

Pioneer makes a decent soundbar+sub combo that is close to that price point. Vizio shockingly enough has one too and it's not bad. Not as bad as some of the others that command a higher price.

Jokes aside, wharfedale makes a great speaker and a great value

it sounds like you poop, you can put a subwoofer and it's small in size
