What's the general oppinion on these all-in-one units like the Linn Classik or the Arcam Solo? I'm slowly building a second stereo listening zone, and space and simplicity are considerable factors in my equipment purchases. I like the streamline one box approach that these companies offer, but for around $2000 CAD for either unit, I don't want to sacrifice too much quality.
Any oppinions out there? Are there any other similar units from other companies I don't know about yet?
The other question is about speakers. I definately want something I can hang on a wall. I've listened to the B&W FPM series, and the Definitive Mythos 2. I was hoping to find one or two other brands to listen to before making a purchase. I won't be using a sub with them immidiately, but will add one in the future. Again simplicity in design is key. I want them to be pleasing to the eye as well as the ear. Not an easy combo is some cases.
