As some of you know I took the wife to the AKUS concert in Tucson last night. This was our first live concert of either of us and man, what a way to start out! They are absolutely amazing!!! Even if your not a fan of blue-grass music you owe it to yourself to here them play just for their musicianship.

Alison is completely adorable, very witty & a pleasure to listen to & watch. Jerry Douglas is incredible on the dobro and I now believe the claim that he is the best in the world. Dan Tyminski performed a couple solos from the "O'Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack including "Man of Constant Sorrow" and they also did a couple instrumentals that just blew you away.

If your not tapping your foot while listening to these folks play your either deaf or dead.

I give them a 5 out of 5 stars.:D

I'm jealous!:D I'm a huge fan of Alison Krauss! It's not the same, I realize, but I have her double live SACD set and the DVD of her at Austin City Limits. Great stuff.

My wife and I went to see them (and most of the performers from the "O Brother, Where Art Thou" soundtrack) a few years ago here in Fort Worth. One of the best concerts I have ever been to.

Normally bluegrass is not my cup of tea, but these folks are the exception. We own almost everything they've put out, both as Union Station and Allison Solo.

I have her Live DVD and I love it. I Saw it one night on HDNET and went out the next day and bought the DVD. Ghost in this house is one my favorite songs to demo for people. Her latest CD is good too.

Aside from their near impossible musicianship, one of the other things l like about AKUS is that it is like two bands at once. The songs they do with Allison as singer are so different from the male sung songs that they almost sound like two groups.

Dont like bluegrass either but heyy.....this is something else!
I love the way they play, Allison's voice, all in all this is a great sounding concert DVD.
Lovers of good music will enjoy it.

I picked up one of the SACDs and I wasn't impressed. Not a bluegrass sort of fan though.
