Aircom AC Infinity on my Outlaw?

Wanted to get your opinions. I have Aircom AC Infinity fans on all my AVR's. I feel it's a no brainer to cool those off as those are in cabinets (with openings)

I have my Outlaw AMP sitting behind my TV stand on the floor but out in the open so ventilation is not a problem. To lengthen the life of the AMP do you recommend putting fans on the AMP just to ensure it keeps cool? Or is it better to have nothing on top of the amp and just let it ventilate naturally as designed? As these AMPs are expensive for me, if a $100 investment in an Aircom means a greater life for the Outlaw, I'm ok buying it. It doesn't seem to get super hot.

Thanks for any thoughts you have

Sounds like not having a fan on the amp works just fine. Maybe if always taxing the amp, like cranking at high volume constantly and it was getting hot....

However, which Outlaw amp are you using? They're not all equal....

I am running a T10 on my Outlaw 7500 amp. No issues and the peace of mind seemed worth it to me.

I would use the fans only if it's overheating.

I don't think there's any proof that using fans on non-overheating electronics will improve reliability.

One thing I've noticed about using fans is that there seems to be a lot more dust collection on the fans and the areas around the fans on the chassis.

So will there also be more dust INSIDE the chassis?

Thus, since all my electronics are now cool-operating, I have removed all my fans.

I use an aircom on my AVR, but my monoblocks don’t require any extra cooling.
My advice is use your judgement: if you fave good ventilation below and above, which it sounds like you do, and the amp is not getting hot to the touch, I’d say let it ride.
If egg cookery becomes possible, cool it.

Thanks, it's an Outlaw 7500, so an ATI amp. It gets warm to the touch at the most but I don't always get back there to feel it (a little bit of a pain). I was thinking the cost of an Aircom would be fairly immaterial for peace of mind but a part of me wondered if somehow having a device covering the vents all the time (it's a fan I know) could somehow be detrimental. I do prefer that outlaw last a while as I think I'd prefer to get it services when it goes down but I bet the shipping both ways to ATI might be $150-$200 to start with.

I’m a chef and have a laser thermometer. Silly to some I suspect, but useful for lots of things!

I have ACInfinity fans on both my AVR and main power amp, they both run too hot, at least IMO, and the fans are an easy fix. My AVR temp goes to the point I can barely touch the rear of it after about an hour of operation, and the main amp, an old Onkyo with the giant green meters, just runs insanely hot without the ACInfinity on it, with them set at the 3rd level speed, I can barely hear them, and the temps are 80 F and 84-86F, running as loud as my neighbors can stand. Without them, the AVR is pushing 120F and the amp is like 140F. I'm about to do the annual cleaning of the dust and cat hair out of all my equipment, that seems to be the only negative to running the ACInfinity units, they suck a lot of dust into the stuff it's cooling.
