Hi All, first time poster so apologies if this has been asked before. I am renovating and looking to setup our family/living room with kitchen in same room as the main TV and home theatre room. Room is 9m (29.5ft) wide and 5m (16.5ft). Home theatre will be on right side as per diagram and have glass sliding door to right side out to gardens and rear bi-fold glass doors behind seating. So not sure if that destroys the rooms acoustics. looking to get a large 75-85" 4k TV.
Need some guidance speaker placement.
Question 1
Have existing Triangle color fronts and centre but thinking do I just to a simple 5.1 with rears as in-ceiling speakers. Or should I go with 5.1.2 and have rear surround as ceiling and overhead above our seating as atmos. Will ceiling speakers be good for surround and atmos or will this sound weird
Question 2
Want to also be able to install additional ceiling speakers so my wife can play via streaming app on phone to speakers. Can we us the other ceiling speakers (rear or atmos) with another pair over kitchen area to fill the room with music. Is that even possible to use them for both home theatre and music. Or would I lose the home theatre speakers and need to have separate speakers on a different configuration.
Will get a new AVR like denon x3600h or x4500h to have HEOS streaming. So not sure if I need a power amp to power 5.1.2 & another pair of ceiling speakers
Appreciate your advice / opinion
