when using sufficiently sized cables for the length and ohms of the speaker, there are no sound quality differences between brands.

generic gauge 12 speaker wire will be sufficient for 99% of the uses out there.

if you want branded cables that are not insanely priced: www.bluejeanscable.com

What is your budget you are willing to spend on cables. The 3 suggestions vary in their price ranges. If you are on a really tight budget I would go with Monoprice. If you want excellent quality intereconnects, speaker cables and terminations (the BJC locking banana plugs are excellent, the BJC spade did not fit on my binding posts on my speakers however) at reasonable prices I would go with Blue Jeans cables. If you are looking for purty cables and pure aesthestics the Best Deals Cables option might be a good one but they are also the most expensive. Choosing the most expensive one will not provide you with any sonic improvment over the other 2 choices, so keep that in mind too.

How good (or comfortable) are you at wiring? Mike_C receommended 12 gauge; I am okay with that but actually even 14 gauge is an overkill.

For good connections banana plugs make wiring easy. These monprice banana plugs are inexpensive, yet provide secure connections: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10401&cs_id=1040115&p_id=2801&seq=1&format=2

As far as wire , don't spend too much! COPPER-IS-COPPER; more expensive does not mean better. Here are some examples:

http://www.rackmount-devices.com/050-5937.html 50ft 14 gauge $16.50
http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10239 50 ft. 12 gauge $15.95
