Advice needed for new media room

My wife are in the process of building a new media room in the basement of our new house. The ceiling is going to be 8ft tall. We have B&W natilus speakers, BK ref. 30, rotel amps, Sanyo LCD projector, and various other toys. I would like to place the screen and 802s on the north end of the room. It would give the 110" screen more room. It would also allow the me to place my equipment racks out of the way in the northwest corner without buying new speaker cables and/or interconnects. The south end of the room is more symetrical but it seems a little cramped, as the width is only 13ft wide. It will be a 7.1 system but i really would like it to sound it good in two channel mode. Would I make a mistake with the main speaker on the wider end of the room? All comments, suggestions, and advice would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks! Paul

I think your choice is very good, the room will have a balance of sounds reflections and away from the front wall is best. Cheers.
