i have been researching the last week and endlessly for the right unit for my home and for my next home coming soon....

important points
1. i am professional dj and my house and its occupants love music so this is important in more than one room. if possible like i have read
2. gaming/ computers/ i will be running firesticks, possibly a tower computer, and ps4 pro 4k, also cd/dvd etc.
pretty much everything!
3. zones. i would like to have capability to have audio mostly and also video inside and outside on the porch patio bar area.
ex: football inside and outside on patio with tv and audio.
music same or different in each room for myself and the mrs.
preferably id like to still have the most of my surround and atmos in main room if possible while running these...
------options?-------

in my research i have been leaning toward denon. i trust the company and quality.

i have researched 2300w and the 2400h . both seem a little low end for my thirst for deep sounds and options...

right now leaning toward the 3400h and can find it for 600 usd.

curious of yamaha but so far they seem to lack functionality in most cases.. and connections...

the only sony so far to catch my attention is the dn1080 seems like a strong unit but weak on some points like hdmi outputs.

i would put a price range but im shopping for new and used and prices tend to range online these days.....so i guess new or used for around 600 but not afraid to spend a little more if it is truly worth it....

i havent even touched speaker research yet.. i have some speakers that belonged to my uncle... kenwoods i believe and was goin to use that setup to get started. i also have some nice bose ive had forever. 4 of them box shelf speakers i guess.

the unit will for now be in my medium sized mobile home and then i will be going all out when i buy my real home in the next yr or so...

i will probably have many questions or maybe not... i appreciate the advice as you guys know what youre talking about in detail... thank you in advance. Clarence

You didn’t tell us exactly how many rooms/zones you’re talking about, but “multiple” sounds like a lot, and “different music in each one” will require a fairly sophisticated system.

Basically, AVRs are useless for all but the simplest multirooom systems, and there’s no AVR in existence that can handle the kind of multiroom system you’re talking about. And there’s no way it‘s going to happen for a mere $600 – you haven’t even addressed the outboard amplification needed for all those speakers in all those rooms.

I suggest consulting with a specialist like Home Theater Direct.

all i mean is like the heos can play in multiple rooms with denon.... per example for music...

and as for tv when i say multiple i mean main zone and like i said the patio outside mostly for football sunday...

one game inside one game outside or the same game on both per say.... }

nothing complicated overly complicated at all

oh and the x3400h i see has what i thought 3 hdmi outs so it WOULD support two of the same images plus one different if so desired....

so im looking at denon x4400h and x3400h at the moment....

my biggest thing is getting the best surround in zone 1 and how to run zone 2 and still have a greta surround with atmos 2 speaker minimum in zone 1....

like can i have the full surround wired and then if i use the rca for zone 2 does that take away from the physically wired speakers for the 7.2.....and subs

im noob to this newer stuff...
